Two Quick Questions ...

1. The other day, I saw a movie starring Parker Posey called Fay Grim. Interesting flick ... I liked it, though I found out later that it was actually a sequel to another film, Henry Fool (which is, I've been told, a cult favorite). My second question, for anyone out there in the know: Since I've seen Fay Grim (and know the big "secret" about Henry), does it still make sense for me to see Henry Fool?

2. Directed at my friend C: Didn't you have a bit of an obsession vis-a-vis Parker Posey at one point? Please explain for everyone, if you feel so moved, in the comments section (if you happen to read this).

I've found one has to be careful, btw, about asking women about their "obsessions" with women actresses. Another woman I know used to comment quite frequently about Minnie Driver -- about how drop-dead gorgeous she is, how great of an actress she is, how unique she is, how drop-dead gorgeous she is, how drop-dead gorgeous she is, how drop-dead gorgeous she is ... (Am I repeating myself?) Well, you get the idea. I thought for sure there was some sort of Sapphic attraction there but was continually told I was crazy. If any woman cares to explain the nuances of this to me, I'd be glad to listen -- 'cuz I'd totally understand; every time I wax poetic about Angelina Jolie or Zooey Deschanel, it's like totally platonic.

I think women do this because (a) they want to be/look like the actress or (b) think they look a little like the actress and are hoping you say so.
