The Hillman Family has grown by one. We adopted Trillian this weekend from a local no-kill shelter. She had a temporary name at the shelter, of course, but we felt that her black color and white starlike chest patch called for something outer-spacey. One of my daughter's favorite movies is the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (which I'm sure will also become one of her favorite reads, when she gets around to it). Hence the name. My father quickly pointed out that Trillian of course is intended as a female-sounding near-homophone for Trillion -- a number with *13* digits, which seems additionally appropriate for a jet-black cat. I'm sure we'll have a good bit of fun with her on Halloween. Our superstitious neighbors already think we're the creepiest people on the block; wait until they see her hunching up in the window!

Hey, did you know that Robert Downey Jr. was approached to play Zaphod Beeblebrox?
Just a bit of FYI ;-)
Cute cat btw.

Dogs have owners. Cats have staff.
Trillian looks remarkably like our littler kitty, Jasmine, who was also procured at a no-kill shelter. Nice work!
