It may surprise you to learn that many Germans Dusche (pronounced "douche") every day! (If you don't believe me, BabelFish it.) Not all of them, though. It's Europe, after all, where bodily cleanliness isn't necessarily job one. But still, I have it on good authority that the majority of Germans Dusche regularly. They even have places like Baden-Baden, a spa town where people have gone to Dusche since the middle ages (and possibly since the Roman empire 2,000 years ago)!

Here's another fact: Germans (even German men !) who live in America almost certainly Dusche every day. They Dusche in the morning before work, they Dusche after a hard workout, and they sometimes Dusche just for relaxation. ("There's nothing like a long, hot Dusche," they say.) But most of the time (let's face it), they Dusche in the pursuit of general hygiene (just like everyone).

I was surprised by this, too. I thought for sure that Germans (especially Germans in Germany ) probably Dusche considerably less often than Americans. You know what I'm referring to, right? --the old bromide that Germans Dusche only once per week? This is a horrible stereotype (perpetuated by the French, no doubt, who some say do not Dusche at all), which is why I needed to speak out. Let it be known once and for all that Germans Dusche a lot.
