IMHO Installment #88: Draft Horses Eat a LOT

We've been out looking at houses away from the city, situated on acreage. So, naturally, I've decided that maybe I should buy a huge horse. Here's a handy fact. Every day, a Clydesdale consumes:

  • 20 quarts of feed;
  • 40 to 50 lb. of hay; and
  • 30 gallons of water.

Still, I think I might buy one in a year or two, even though I know absolutely nothing about horses. I mean, that's only 7,300 quarts of feed, 18,000 pounds of hay, and 11,000 gallons of water per year. What could go wrong?
